Curious minds want to know how did you get your hands on a 33rd Degree Masonic Order “Jewel”?

Cat, I did not want to overly personalize the point I was making, however, that Masonic "jewel" belonged to my paternal grandfather, John William Kephart. https://www.pacourts.us/Storage/media/pdfs/20220510/153054-kephart.pdf I never met him - he died in 1944 and I was born in 1950. In reading his attached biographic summary, I did NOT realize he had been granted eight (8) honorary doctorate degrees. He was quite a 'mover and shaker.' Since I never met him, it's hard for me to comment. We are no longer friends, however, several years ago while working on a interview with conservative radio talk host, Shad Olson, I handed the jewel to him. He palmed it and checked it out. Then he looked up at me with a bit of a quizzical look on his face and said, "Well, you realize, YOU are from an Illuminati bloodline." I was quite taken aback. The thought, whether true or not, has stuck with me since. Perhaps it WOULD explain my overriding (and long-standing since early childhood) interest in world affairs. Obviously, and sadly, I'm NOT on the world stage... although I feel I should be AND I feel I could do a better job than the bozos who are currently front and center. Destiny had other ideas.

very intriguing, Sam. Looking into your family history would be interesting. And YES, you absolutely would do a better job than the bozos in power. Destiny can change. Who knows what the future holds for you. The access was denied to me to open that pdf.

Back in the ‘70’s, my uncle hired a professional ancestry expert to do the Kephart (Gebhardt) lineage.

I know they were able to reliably trace my paternal line back to 1,100 AD in Basel, Switzerland 🇨🇭… so who knows what all things may have occurred over the past centuries.

My paternal forbears arrived in America in 1756… and went on to fight against the Brits in the Revolution and then later for the North (Union) during the civil war.

It’s a pretty interesting lineage; I just hope I can make a major mark before passing on.

Yup, that’s the family mausoleum. I entombed my father there back in 2008.
