Is there a Modern-Day 'Doctrines of Devils' Impacting Society?

Editor’s Note: This newsletter is NOT about religion. However, I do believe that ALL manifest human reality and experience is informed by an invisisible (to most) spiritual realm that can and does inform our experiences… for good or bad. And, if that premise is accurate, does it explain HOW the massive concurrent lies, perpetrations, and idiocies (that are SO prominent in our daily lives) are being allowed to continue? Kindly indulge me in the following possibility…
It’s not lost on me that in our contemporary times, a resurgence of ancient prophecies holds a mirror to the global stage.
One such prophecy, 1 Timothy 4:1-3, from the revered King James Bible, appears to be in the process of fulfillment:
Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils;
Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron;
Forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from meats, which God hath created to be received with thanksgiving of them which believe and know the truth.
The verses warn about a future where people will abandon faith, follow seductive, deceptive doctrines, and embrace hypocrisy. That’s a pretty eerie and accurate semblance to our current geopolitical happenings, don't you think?
Recently, we've witnessed a global shift from faith, which is precisely what Timothy predicted. Religion is being replaced by secularism.
Faith is losing its ground to science and materialism, thereby leaving a vacuum that, as the verses warn, paves the way for "seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils."
This prophecy seems to be coming alive as we see world leaders not just speaking, but echoing "lies in hypocrisy."
The world is awash with ‘fake news’ from a coopted Mainstream Media, misinformation campaigns, and pervasive climate of censorship over alternative opinions and non-traditional news sources. The current global political scene is rife with leaders whose actions contradict their words, "having their conscience seared with a hot iron."
The third verse warns about forbidding to marry and commanding to abstain from meats. While the literal interpretation may seem far-fetched, we see a metaphorical resemblance in the form of societal restrictions. Individual freedoms are being curtailed, and choices are being dictated – whether it's about choosing a life partner or adopting certain dietary habits.
The prophecy concludes with a reminder that everything was created to be received with gratitude by those who know and believe the truth.
This message resonates now more than ever. In a world grappling with geoengineered climate change and environmental degradation, it's high time we remember that Earth and its resources are a blessing to be cherished.
Timothy 4:1-3 serves as a stark warning, urging us to stay rooted in truth and faith, even when the world around us may seem to be straying.
Is it too late to heed this warning, or can we still course-correct and steer our global society towards a more authentic, truthful, and faithful path? Only time will tell…
